Bio

"My name it ain't nothing, my age it means less."     ~ Dylan

Jay Albert, born the year of the Beatle's seventh American album

"The country I come from is called the midwest"

Raised where the pretty countryside has been paved down the middle, by a government that had no pride

"I was taught and brought up there, the laws to abide"

Sometimes my lyrics comment upon what I see happening around me, sometimes they are just plain made up

"And that the land that I live in has God on It's side"

Place - It's a heavy thing - the sights, smells, culture, the very earth we tread from infancy to age shapes what we think, what we have to say

I don't like most descriptions of music. Sure, it can be done, but usually it's just derivative, cliquish, and misleading. Once we have described something, we have a way of shutting its door, feeling as though we know it well enough. I'd like to create music that moves you but you can't quite describe why. I'd like you to continue listening.
